School Background

Five Star is located in Kangemi at Kang’ora village along Kangemi-Kawangware road near Nairobi River. The Five Star Academy seeks to provide a school for needy children. Our objective is to help the children escape the bonds of poverty and hopelessness by providing education, life skills, values and a caring environment that will empower them to successfully move into the mainstream of society. We aim to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-appropriate instructions that allow for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Each student’s self-esteem is fostered by positive relationships with students and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved on our students’ learning.
